COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update
Phase 2 Appointments Canceled Until Further Notice
The Southeast Defense Training team of instructors has been closely monitoring the spread and risks of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), and we have seen an exponential spread over the last few days.
Public health officials and organizations have stressed that in communities where the virus has not yet taken hold, such as ours, we have a small window in which to take decisive actions to slow the spread. Social distancing and restrictions on travel are two major actions that can help "flatten the curve". It is not possible to complete the in person portion of our class while following CDC social distancing guidelines.
We have been privileged to serve a tremendous community, and we simply could not imagine making a decision to continue classes that could potentially put anyone in our community at risk. Additionally, many of our instructors are considered essential personnel and may be both subject to travel to affected areas and populations, or to being called to work on state emergency operations.
Out of an abundance of caution and care for our community, we will be canceling any in person Phase 2 classes at this time, and we will reschedule those classes in accordance with health official guidelines. We ask that you are patient with us as we determine our next steps and wait for further guidance from health care officials.
Any class vouchers, gift certificates, etc. with expiration dates will be extended and we promise you will be served despite any expiration dates listed. The Phase 1 Online Presentation will continue to be available online for watching or review at any time.
